Template Details

Hyde is a minimalist blog theme designed for the Cecil static site generator, inspired by the classic Hyde theme of the same name on Jekyll and emphasizing a clean, restrained typographic style. The repository provides actual screenshots of the desktop homepage, mobile homepage, and blog inner pages, and you can preview the live result at the demo site https://cecilapp.github.io/theme-hyde/.

The theme is distributed as the Composer package cecil/theme-hyde, and can also be installed by downloading the release archive and extracting it into the themes/hyde directory. To enable it, add hyde to the theme list in config.yml. The theme offers configuration options such as a sticky sidebar, theme colors (red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, magenta, brown, cecil), and reversed left/right layout, and it supports Cecil's localization mechanism with a built-in French translation file at translations/messages.fr.yml.

Note: the repository materials do not provide the theme's version compatibility range, dependency list, or performance details, so you should verify against your own Cecil version before use. The licenses for third-party assets such as demo images, fonts, and icons must be confirmed separately and cannot be judged solely from the code's MIT license.

How this score is calculated

Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

A demo link is listed. Check it with your own content and viewport sizes; its presence does not confirm that forms, authentication or payments work.

The catalog identifies Jekyll as the primary stack. Check the actual dependency manifest and lockfile for versions and hosting requirements. These notes use recorded metadata, not a code audit or a deployment test.
