Template Details

This template is corey-wooten's personal portfolio repository, built with the Hugo static site generator and the Hugo Profile theme, used to showcase technical projects, automation solutions, and real-world application cases across industries. The site contains two types of content: portfolio and blog. Screenshots of the desktop homepage, mobile homepage, and the /blogs inner page are visible in the repository materials.

The repository states that it is hosted on GitHub Pages and deployed via Netlify; the README also provides two usage paths: clone it as a Hugo theme into the themes directory and configure config.yaml yourself, or directly fork/use the template button to connect to Netlify for automatic deployment. The theme itself provides responsive layout, light/dark/auto color schemes, taxonomies, color customization, Google Analytics, Disqus comments, and a "Contact Me" form submitted via Formspree.

Regarding usage limitations: the README requires Hugo 0.87.0 or higher; the Formspree form requires you to configure the service endpoint yourself, and its quota and fees must be checked separately; the licenses for third-party assets such as demo images, fonts, and icons must be confirmed individually. The code uses the MIT license, allowing free use, modification, commercial use, and distribution, but the copyright notice and license notice must be retained when distributing.

Usage conditions & limitations

Free to use · keep license notice

This entry covers the free version under the MIT license in the public repository; the free scope is the code of this version and does not mean that external services or third-party assets are free.

Must comply with when using

  • Free use, modification, commercial use, and distribution of this version's code are allowed.
  • When distributing copies or substantial portions of the code, retain the original author's copyright notice and the complete MIT license notice.
  • The code is provided as is; warranties and limitations of liability are governed by the original license and applicable law.

Additional costs & items to verify

  • Using this template requires Hugo 0.87.0 or higher; versions below this cannot build the site properly.
  • The "Contact Me" form depends on the third-party Formspree service; you must register and configure the service endpoint yourself, and its free quota and fees must be checked separately.
  • Site analytics depends on Google Analytics; you must apply for an account and configure the tracking ID yourself.
  • The comment feature depends on the third-party Disqus service; you must register and configure the site shortname yourself.
  • Images referenced in the configuration file must be prepared by you and placed in the static folder; the template does not include these assets.
  • The README mentions the Formspree form service; actual submission requires configuring the service endpoint, and its usage quota and fees must be checked separately.
  • Demo images, fonts, icons, and other third-party assets must be checked against their respective licenses and cannot be judged solely by the code's MIT license.
  • External services such as domain, hosting, database, payment, or AI may incur additional charges.

How this score is calculated

Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

What to verify for this project

A demo link is listed. Check it with your own content and viewport sizes; its presence does not confirm that forms, authentication or payments work.

The catalog identifies Hugo as the primary stack. Check the actual dependency manifest and lockfile for versions and hosting requirements. These notes use recorded metadata, not a code audit or a deployment test.
