Template Details
jekyll-theme-gatsby is a Jekyll theme maintained by dankimio, intended to port the blog appearance of gatsby-starter-blog into the Jekyll ecosystem. The repository is tagged with both Jekyll and Gatsby, categorized as a blog and starter, and suits sites that need to build a blog with Jekyll while preferring that visual style.
Usage follows the standard Jekyll theme workflow: add jekyll-theme-gatsby to the Gemfile, set theme: jekyll-theme-gatsby in _config.yml, and run bundle install; then fill in name and summary under the author section of _config.yml for displaying site author information. During development, use bundle exec jekyll serve to preview locally on port 4000, and add pages, documents, and data like a normal Jekyll site to test theme content. When publishing the theme, only the _layouts, _includes, _sass, and assets directories tracked by Git are packaged; to include custom directories, adjust the regular expression in jekyll-theme-gatsby.gemspec.
The available information does not provide specific style details, page structure, component inventory, or browser compatibility, nor does it state whether sample content, navigation configuration, or extensions such as comments and search are included. The repository has 1 star, was last updated in 2022, and uses the MIT license, allowing free use, modification, commercial use, and distribution, but third-party assets such as demo images, fonts, and icons require separate license verification.

How this score is calculated
Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

## Contributing
Bug reports and pull requests are welcome on GitHub at https://github.com/dankimio/jekyll-theme-gatsby. This project is intended to be a safe, welcoming space for collaboration, and contributors are expected to adhere to the [Contributor Covenant](http://contributor-covenant.org) code of conduct.
## Development
To set up your environment to develop this theme, run `bundle install`.
Your theme is setup just like a normal Jekyll site! To test your theme, run `bundle exec jekyll serve` and open your browser at `http://localhost:4000`. This starts a Jekyll server using your theme. Add pages, documents, data, etc. like normal to test your theme's contents. As you make modifications to your theme and to your content, your site will regenerate and you should see the changes in the browser after a refresh, just like normal.
When your theme is released, only the files in `_layouts`, `_includes`, `_sass` and `assets` tracked with Git will be bundled.
To add a custom directory to your theme-gem, please edit the regexp in `jekyll-theme-gatsby.gemspec` accordingly.
## License
The theme is available as open source under the terms of the [MIT License](https://opensource.org/licenses/MIT).
