Template Details

Dragon is a Jekyll blog theme whose repository describes its purpose as serving developers who want to blog without creating a theme from scratch. The theme organizes styles with Sass/SCSS and compiles front-end assets through Gulp; the README lists initial CSS and JS size figures, which are the author's own statements and have not been verified against the dependency list.

For content organization, the theme includes category pages, tag pages, series pages, an about page, and RSS subscription, and it provides sitemap.xml; navigation uses an offcanvas menu, and the site offers live search. Site information, social accounts, series, and menu links are configured through _config.yml.

Style files are split by page under dev/scss/pages, with each page or page type having its own directory and separated by component; the partials directory holds base files such as _base.scss and _colors.scss, making it easier to locate and modify styles for specific pages.

Before use, Jekyll must be installed; after cloning or forking the repository, edit _config.yml, refer to the sample posts in _posts to understand the data field syntax, and compile asset files with Gulp. The repository was last updated in 2017, and no further maintenance status information is provided.

How this score is calculated

Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

A demo link is listed. Check it with your own content and viewport sizes; its presence does not confirm that forms, authentication or payments work.

The catalog identifies Jekyll as the primary stack. Check the actual dependency manifest and lockfile for versions and hosting requirements. These notes use recorded metadata, not a code audit or a deployment test.

## Theme SCSS and more

The SCSS is in
[dev/scss](https://github.com/onhernandes/dragon-theme/tree/master/dev/scss)
and the basic styles are in
[dev/scss/pages/template](https://github.com/onhernandes/dragon-theme/tree/master/dev/scss/pages/template),
the rest of theme is separated in folders, also inside of
[dev/scss/pages](https://github.com/onhernandes/dragon-theme/tree/master/dev/scss/pages).

Each page(or kind of) has his own folder inside of
[dev/scss/pages](https://github.com/onhernandes/dragon-theme/tree/master/dev/scss/pages)
and then are component-separated. So if you want to change page' styles, you know where find the files.

The
[partials](https://github.com/onhernandes/dragon-theme/tree/master/dev/scss/partials)
folder has partials files like `_base.scss` and `_colors.scss`.

If you want to create post series, use the `series` on _config.yml, the same for creating projects and menu links.

## Running blog locally

In order to run Jekyll on local you need to:

- Install [NodeJS](https://nodejs.org/)
