Template Details

astro-melody-starter is an Astro starter template for personal blogs, maintained by ouranoshong in the repository and released under the MIT license. It combines Astro's content collection mechanism with DaisyUI and Tailwind CSS to quickly set up a publishable static blog site.

The template's page routes come from .astro or .md files in the src/pages/ directory. Blog posts are placed in src/content/blog/, read via getCollection(), and frontmatter can be type-checked using a schema. The styling is deliberately kept minimal to make it easy to replace with your own design. Site configuration is centralized in src/consts.ts.

In terms of features, the README lists SEO-related canonical URLs and OpenGraph data, sitemap support, RSS feed support, and both Markdown and MDX content formats. The README also mentions a Lighthouse performance score of 100/100, which is a claim by the template author and has not been independently verified in this material.

Usage limitations: The template itself only provides a blog skeleton and sample content; it does not include comments, search, backend editing, or a database. Third-party assets such as images, fonts, and icons in the demo site need to be checked separately under their respective licenses.

How this score is calculated

Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

A demo link is listed. Check it with your own content and viewport sizes; its presence does not confirm that forms, authentication or payments work.

The catalog identifies Astro as the primary stack. Check the actual dependency manifest and lockfile for versions and hosting requirements. These notes use recorded metadata, not a code audit or a deployment test.

## 🚀 Project Structure

Inside of your Astro project, you'll see the following folders and files:

```text
├── public/
├── src/
│   ├── components/
│   ├── content/
│   ├── layouts/
│   └── pages/
├── astro.config.mjs
├── README.md
├── package.json
└── tsconfig.json
```

Astro looks for `.astro` or `.md` files in the `src/pages/` directory. Each page is exposed as a route based on its file name.

There's nothing special about `src/components/`, but that's where we like to put any Astro/React/Vue/Svelte/Preact components.

The `src/content/` directory contains "collections" of related Markdown and MDX documents. Use `getCollection()` to retrieve posts from `src/content/blog/`, and type-check your frontmatter using an optional schema. See [Astro's Content Collections docs](https://docs.astro.build/en/guides/content-collections/) to learn more.

Any static assets, like images, can be placed in the `public/` directory.

#### Configuration

Try to update configuration in `src/consts.ts` files.
