Template Details

This is a static HTML template based on Bootstrap, themed as a single product page in a shop. It was created by Start Bootstrap. The repository provides a directly editable dist directory (HTML and CSS), as well as a source build process based on Pug, SCSS, and npm scripts.

The template is positioned as a "basic" shop item page, suitable as a starting point for a product detail page rather than a complete e-commerce system. It does not include a backend, shopping cart, payment, or data interface; product information and images must be replaced manually.

The code is released under the MIT license, allowing free use, modification, commercial use, and distribution; however, third-party assets such as images, fonts, and icons in the demo must have their licenses checked separately, and external services such as domains and hosting may incur additional charges.

Usage conditions & limitations

Free to use · keep license notice

This entry covers the free version under the MIT license in the public repository; the free scope applies to that version's code and does not mean external services or third-party assets are free.

Must comply with when using

  • Free use, modification, commercial use, and distribution of this version's code are permitted.
  • When distributing copies or substantial portions of the code, retain the original author's copyright notice and the full MIT license notice.
  • The code is provided as is; warranties and limitations of liability are governed by the original license and applicable law.

Additional costs & items to verify

  • Before using the source build process (npm install / npm start / npm run build), npm must be installed locally; directly editing HTML and CSS in the dist directory does not require npm.
  • The MIT license permits free use, modification, commercial use, and distribution, but copyright and license notices must be retained; this template itself has no additional usage restrictions.
  • Demo images, fonts, icons, and other third-party assets must be checked against their respective licenses and cannot be judged solely by the code's MIT license.
  • External services such as domains, hosting, databases, payments, or AI may incur additional charges.

How this score is calculated

Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

A demo link is listed. Check it with your own content and viewport sizes; its presence does not confirm that forms, authentication or payments work.

The catalog identifies HTML as the primary stack. Check the actual dependency manifest and lockfile for versions and hosting requirements. These notes use recorded metadata, not a code audit or a deployment test.

## Usage

### Basic Usage

After downloading, simply edit the HTML and CSS files included with `dist` directory. These are the only files you need to worry about, you can ignore everything else! To preview the changes you make to the code, you can open the `index.html` file in your web browser.

### Advanced Usage

Clone the source files of the theme and navigate into the theme's root directory. Run `npm install` and then run `npm start` which will open up a preview of the template in your default browser, watch for changes to core template files, and live reload the browser when changes are saved. You can view the `package.json` file to see which scripts are included.

#### npm Scripts

* `npm run build` builds the project - this builds assets, HTML, JS, and CSS into `dist`
* `npm run build:assets` copies the files in the `src/assets/` directory into `dist`
* `npm run build:pug` compiles the Pug located in the `src/pug/` directory into `dist`
* `npm run build:scripts` brings the `src/js/scripts.js` file into `dist`
* `npm run build:scss` compiles the SCSS files located in the `src/scss/` directory into `dist`
* `npm run clean` deletes the `dist` directory to prepare for rebuilding the project
* `npm run start:debug` runs the project in debug mode
* `npm start` or `npm run start` runs the project, launches a live preview in your default browser, and watches for changes made to files in `src`

You must have npm installed in order to use this build environment.
