Template Details

ProductRating is a free Next.js template published by tailthemes, positioned as the interface for a product page SEO audit tool. It replicates the front end of the live ProductRating app: after a user pastes a product URL, the interface displays evaluation results for five providers—Google, Bing, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude—each scored out of 100, along with rationale and next-step recommendations, followed by a directory workspace.

The repository contains only the interface, not the scanning engine. All pages render the app's built-in sample reports; connecting real data requires returning the same data structure. The project is a Next.js 15 project (located in src/), uses Tailwind CSS v4 and React 19, and is light mode only. It includes 7 routes: /, /chatgpt, /checklist, /pricing, /workspace, /workspace/report, /workspace/billing; 14 components, each in its own file; and 287 design tokens centralized in src/theme.css.

Aside from React and Next.js, the only dependency is lucide-react, and the Geist and Geist Mono fonts are self-hosted in src/fonts/. The repository provides 4 agent skills under .claude/skills/ (add-page, add-section, check-quality, rebrand) plus an AGENTS.md file map and conventions. Changing colors only requires modifying token values in src/theme.css while keeping the names; spacing, border radius, and font sizes remain in src/productrating.css. The repository is generated from the author's own source code, accepts issues but not pull requests, because merged patches would be overwritten by the next release; forking is allowed.

Is it right for your project?

Use Cases

  • Building a front-end interface for a product page SEO audit or scoring tool
  • Using the sample report data structure as a reference to connect your own scan result API
  • Reusing its design tokens and component organization for interface modifications in a Next.js project
  • Demonstrating the interactive layout of product page evaluation reports and a workspace directory

Suitable For

  • Next.js developers who need a prototype for a product page SEO audit interface
  • Teams that want to use and modify the interface for free under the MIT license
  • Developers who want to reference Tailwind CSS v4 and design token organization

Getting started & customization

Use these recorded setup notes alongside the repository instructions for your chosen version.

  1. 1

    Start with bun install and bun dev; npm install and npm run dev also work, with the default address at http://localhost:3000

  2. 2

    The template does not include a scanning engine; pages render the app's built-in sample reports, and connecting real data requires returning the same structure

  3. 3

    The Geist and Geist Mono fonts use the SIL Open Font License 1.1, and the license text must be retained with the .woff2 files

  4. 4

    The five provider logos come from LobeHub Icons and are stored as-is in src/assets/providers/ under their MIT license

  5. 5

    The repository is generated from the author's own source code and does not accept pull requests; report problems via issues

Usage conditions & limitations

Free to use · keep license notice

This entry covers the free version in the public repository under the MIT license; the free scope applies to that version's code and does not mean external services or third-party assets are free.

Must comply with when using

  • You may use, modify, commercialize, and distribute this version's code for free.
  • When distributing copies or substantial portions of the code, retain the original author's copyright notice and the full MIT license notice.
  • The code is provided as-is; warranties and liability limitations are governed by the original license and applicable law.

Additional costs & items to verify

  • The template does not include a scanning engine; all pages only render the app's built-in sample reports. Connecting real data requires implementing your own backend and returning the same data structure.
  • The repository is generated from the author's own source code and does not accept pull requests; merged patches would be overwritten by the next release. Problems can only be reported via issues; forking is allowed.
  • The Geist and Geist Mono fonts use the SIL Open Font License 1.1, not MIT; their license text must be retained with the .woff2 files.
  • The five provider logos come from LobeHub Icons and are stored as-is under their own MIT license and must not be altered; trademarks belong to their respective owners and do not constitute endorsement.
  • Demo images, fonts, icons, and other third-party assets must be checked against their respective licenses and cannot be judged solely by the code's MIT license.
  • External services such as domains, hosting, databases, payments, or AI may incur separate charges.

How this score is calculated

Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

A demo link is listed. Check it with your own content and viewport sizes; its presence does not confirm that forms, authentication or payments work.

The catalog identifies Next.js as the primary stack. Check the actual dependency manifest and lockfile for versions and hosting requirements. These notes use recorded metadata, not a code audit or a deployment test.

# ProductRating: free SEO audit tool template for Next.js

ProductRating is a free SEO audit tool template for Next.js, MIT licensed, for anyone building a checker that reports on product pages.

It is the interface of a scanner that runs in production. Paste a product URL and read five assessments, for Google, Bing, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude, each scored out of 100 with its evidence and a next step, with a catalog workspace behind them. The scan engine is not included: every screen renders the app's own example report, so connecting yours means returning the same shape.

**The live app:** ProductRating runs at [productrating-ten.vercel.app](https://productrating-ten.vercel.app). This repository is its interface.

One edition ships in this repository: a Next.js 15 project in `src/`. There is no HTML edition, because the app it replicates has none.

## Screenshot

![ProductRating in light mode](.github/productrating-light.png)

ProductRating ships in light mode only, as the app it replicates does. Its tokens are one block in `src/theme.css`.

## Quickstart

```sh
bun install
bun dev
```

Then open http://localhost:3000.

The project is bun first. `npm install` and `npm run dev` work as well.

## What's inside

- **7 routes**: `/`, `/chatgpt`, `/checklist`, `/pricing`, `/workspace`, `/workspace/report`, `/workspace/billing`
- **14 components**, one file each, every one named in `theme.json`
- **287 design tokens**, light mode only, all in `src/theme.css`
- **4 agent skills** in `.claude/skills/`: `add-page`, `add-section`, `check-quality`, `rebrand`
- **2 typefaces** self hosted in `src/fonts/`: Geist and Geist Mono
- **1 dependency beyond React and Next.js**: `lucide-react`
- `AGENTS.md`, the file map and invariants, written for the agent in your editor

## Rebrand in one file

Every colour is a token in `src/theme.css`: the app's named palette, and every tint it derived from it. Change the values, keep the names, and every page follows. Spacing, radii and type sizes are the app's own values in `src/productrating.css`, kept as the live app writes them.

Agents get the procedure in writing: point yours at `.claude/skills/rebrand`.

## Issues welcome, pull requests closed

This repository is generated from our own source, so a patch merged here is overwritten by the next release. Open an issue instead and the fix lands upstream, then comes back in the next version. Forking is open, which is what the MIT grant is for.

## License

The theme is [MIT licensed](LICENSE). Use it in commercial work, modify it, ship it, resell what you build with it. No attribution required.

The typefaces are not ours to relicense. Geist and Geist Mono ship under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Each family's license text sits verbatim beside its `.woff2` file in [`src/fonts/`](src/fonts). Keep those files with the fonts and you are within terms.

The theme ships no photography. The five provider marks are [LobeHub Icons](https://github.com/lobehub/lobe-icons), stored unchanged under their own MIT license in [`src/assets/providers/LICENSE`](src/assets/providers/LICENSE). Brand names and marks identify the assessed providers; their trademarks remain with their respective owners and do not imply endorsement.
