Template Details
port-hugo is a simple portfolio theme built with Hugo, positioned by its author as a customizable portfolio for designers or web developers. The theme provides a responsive portfolio page, an easy-to-use section structure, and uses Hugo's image processing to optimize images. The portfolio display is implemented with Hugrid, and the overall design references the Somrat theme, though the author has simplified the features to keep only what a simple theme needs.
For usage, the theme is installed through Hugo's standard theme directory method, requiring theme = "port-hugo" in the site's config.toml, and portfolio content fields filled in according to exampleSite/data/content.yaml. exampleSite/config.toml provides a more general site configuration example. Logos support logo.svg and logo-dark.svg, placed by default under static/images, with the relevant control code in assets/js/script.js.
In terms of limitations, the README only states that it has been tested with Hugo v0.141.0 and does not declare compatibility with other versions; the theme is relatively minimal and does not include modules beyond the portfolio scope, such as blogs or comments. Third-party assets such as demo images, fonts, and icons must be checked separately under their respective licenses, while the code itself is under the MIT license.

How this score is calculated
Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

Source file / repository# Port-Hugo (A simple portfolio) currently tested with hugo v0.141.0 This theme is a simple, customizable portfolio for designers or web developers. ## Features - Responsive portfolio - Easy sections to use - Hugo image processing for optimization - [Hugrid](https://github.com/aerohub/hugrid) based portfolio section - [Somrat](https://github.com/somratpro/somrat) based design ## Install theme on your hugo site ``` hugo new site your-site-name # if you already have a site ignore this line and the next cd your-site-name cd themes git clone https://github.com/tylersayshi/port-hugo.git cd .. hugo serve ``` Once you have done this, you may use the `exampleSite` folder as an example for how to set your project up. The two main things to pay attention to is to first set this in your `config.toml` file: ```toml theme = "port-hugo" ``` Then you will need to replicate the data used in the `exampleSite/data/content.yaml` file to fill in the fields for your portfolio. Please also see the `exampleSite/config.toml` for guidance on setting up the more general site configurations. ### Logo support Images named `logo.svg` and `logo-dark.svg` are meant to be used for the logos. They should be stored in `static/images` as seen in [./exampleSite/static/images](./exampleSite/static/images). If you wish to change this, the code to control the images is in `assets/js/script.js`. ## Credits I'd like to express gratitude to [somrat](https://github.com/somratpro/somrat) and [hugrid](https://github.com/aerohub/hugrid) for creating wonderful themes that I have used as a jumping off point. You may notice this theme is very similar in design to somrat, however it has distinct differences by using a manipulated version of hugrid for the portfolio section. I have also trimmed down the features of somrat, to only include what I wanted for a simple theme. ## Contributing Please feel free to post issues or make pull requests at any time. I am always open to collaboration.
