Template Details

This is a simple Bootstrap dashboard starter template for quickly building web application admin interfaces, eliminating the need to design layouts from scratch. The project uses Bootstrap 5 for styles and components, Nunjucks to organize HTML templates, and Parcel v1 for building and local development.

For the development workflow, after cloning the repository, run npm install to install dependencies. npm run dev starts a local server at localhost:1234, while npm run build generates a build directory containing compiled and minified code. The README notes two known limitations: during production builds, the CSS output directory remains scss/ instead of css/, requiring manual renaming; and the project chose Parcel v1 over v2 because at the time v2 had issues with the inability to remove content hashes from asset filenames and with livereload.

The template only provides HTML templates. If used for a server-side application, you can build first and then copy the css and js files into the server-side project. The repository uses the MIT license, allowing free use, modification, commercial use, and distribution, but third-party assets such as demo images, fonts, and icons require separate license verification.

Usage conditions & limitations

Free to use · keep license notice

This listing covers the free version from a public repository under the MIT license; the free scope applies to that version's code and does not imply that external services or third-party assets are free.

Must comply with when using

  • Free use, modification, commercial use, and distribution of this version's code are permitted.
  • When distributing copies or substantial portions of the code, retain the original author's copyright notice and the full MIT license notice.
  • The code is provided as is; warranties and limitations of liability are governed by the original license and applicable law.

Additional costs & items to verify

  • Demo images, fonts, icons, and other third-party assets require verification under their respective licenses and cannot be judged solely by the code's MIT license.
  • External services such as domains, hosting, databases, payments, or AI may incur additional charges.
  • During production builds, the CSS output directory remains scss/ instead of css/, requiring manual renaming; otherwise, style paths may not work as expected.
  • The project is fixed on Parcel v1 because at the time v2 had issues with the inability to remove content hashes from asset filenames and with livereload; upgrading to v2 may encounter build and hot-reload obstacles.
  • The template only provides static HTML output. When used for a server-side application, you must build first and then manually copy the css and js files; it does not include server-side integration code.

How this score is calculated

Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

```
or you can download ZIP and extract it.
### Build
switch into project directory
```bash
cd bootstrap-dashboard-starter-template
```
#### Install project dependencies
```bash
npm install
```
#### Running in development enviornment
```bash
npm run dev
```
This will build the project in dev mode and start a local server on `localhost:1234`
#### Building for production use
```bash
npm run build
```
This will generate `build` directory containing all the compiled and minified code.
## FAQ
1. Why are you using Parcel v1 instead of v2?
Parcel v2 currently as of 20/10/2021 has some problems like it doesn't let you remove `content hash` from your assets filename and some problem with livereload.
2. Why is there `scss/` directory for `css` files when I build the project in production?
It's a bug actually, I couldn't rename it to `css` on build so you have to do that manually.
3. What if I wanted to use this in some server side applications.
It's just a `html` template, you can build the project using `npm run build` and copy `css` and `js` files to your server app.
