Template Details
Ockham is a Jekyll blog theme positioned as content-first and minimalist, with its name taken from the Latin maxim of Occam's razor. The theme is distributed as a gem: add gem "ockham" to a Jekyll site's Gemfile, set theme: ockham in _config.yml, and run bundle; alternatively, install it directly with gem install ockham. For sites hosted on GitHub Pages, the README provides an installation method using the jekyll-remote-theme plugin, configuring remote_theme: zivong/ockham in _config.yml.
Detailed usage instructions are not in the repository README but point to a tutorial page on the author's blog. The repository itself is developed like a normal Jekyll site: run bundle install, then preview locally on port 4000 with bundle exec jekyll serve. When publishing, only files in the Git-tracked _layouts, _includes, _sass, and assets directories are packaged; to include custom directories, modify the regular expression in ockham.gemspec.
The repository provides screenshots as previews, but the README does not list specific details such as page structure, navigation, pagination, comments, or SEO features, nor does it state the supported Jekyll version range. The theme code is MIT-licensed, permitting free use, modification, commercial use, and distribution, but third-party assets such as demo images, fonts, and icons must be checked separately under their respective licenses.

How this score is calculated
Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

A demo link is listed. Check it with your own content and viewport sizes; its presence does not confirm that forms, authentication or payments work.
The catalog identifies Jekyll as the primary stack. Check the actual dependency manifest and lockfile for versions and hosting requirements. These notes use recorded metadata, not a code audit or a deployment test.

## Contributing
Bug reports and pull requests are welcome on GitHub at [https://github.com/zivong/ockham](https://github.com/zivong/ockham). This project is intended to be a safe, welcoming space for collaboration, and contributors are expected to adhere to the [Contributor Covenant](http://contributor-covenant.org) code of conduct.
## Development
To set up your environment to develop this theme, run `bundle install`.
Your theme is setup just like a normal Jekyll site! To test your theme, run `bundle exec jekyll serve` and open your browser at `http://localhost:4000`. This starts a Jekyll server using your theme. Add pages, documents, data, etc. like normal to test your theme's contents. As you make modifications to your theme and to your content, your site will regenerate and you should see the changes in the browser after a refresh, just like normal.
When your theme is released, only the files in `_layouts`, `_includes`, `_sass` and `assets` tracked with Git will be bundled.
To add a custom directory to your theme-gem, please edit the regexp in `ockham.gemspec` accordingly.
## License
The theme is available as open source under the terms of the [MIT License](https://opensource.org/licenses/MIT).
