Template Details

Material Angular Dashboard is an Angular admin template published by CreativeIT. It follows Google Material Design guidelines and uses a dark theme by default; the README describes it as the "first dark Material Design + Angular dashboard." The repository is released under the MIT license, permitting free use, modification, commercial use, and distribution of this version of the code, provided the copyright notice and license notice are retained when redistributed.

The template includes dashboard pages and uses D3 and NVD3 for chart components and ag-Grid for advanced tables, along with a custom material-angular-select component. Styles are based on Sass with a BEM structure, and the theme can be adjusted by editing src/theme/scss/_variables.scss.

The repository offers two optional branches: the starter-kit branch is an empty template without all pages and modules, suitable for quick starts; the feature/backend branch includes a preconfigured Node.js backend with authentication and routing capabilities; the feature/serverless branch demonstrates deployment on AWS Lambda. The README also notes that the project is still under development, and more features can be found in the issue list.

Regarding usage restrictions, the MIT license for the code itself does not cover third-party assets such as demo images, fonts, and icons, which must be checked separately under their respective licenses; external services such as domains, hosting, databases, payments, or AI may incur additional charges.

Usage conditions & limitations

Free to use · keep license notice

This entry covers the free version under the MIT license in the public repository; the free scope is limited to this version of the code and does not imply that external services or third-party assets are free.

Must comply with when using

  • Permits free use, modification, commercial use, and distribution of this version of the code.
  • When distributing copies or substantial portions of the code, retain the original author's copyright notice and the full MIT license notice.
  • The code is provided as is; warranties and limitations of liability are governed by the original license and applicable law.

Additional costs & items to verify

  • The full-stack authentication demo in the feature/backend branch relies on an externally hosted demo site and requires the provided demo account credentials; this demo service is not part of the template code, and you must set up your own backend for actual deployment.
  • The deployment method in the feature/serverless branch relies on external cloud services such as AWS Lambda, which may incur AWS charges and require a corresponding account, and is not covered by the free code under the MIT license.
  • The project is still under development, and the README explicitly states that further features are planned, so it should not be considered feature-complete or production-ready.
  • Demo images, fonts, icons, and other third-party assets must be checked under their respective licenses and cannot be judged solely by the code's MIT license.
  • External services such as domains, hosting, databases, payments, or AI may incur additional charges.

How this score is calculated

Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

A demo link is listed. Check it with your own content and viewport sizes; its presence does not confirm that forms, authentication or payments work.

The catalog identifies Angular as the primary stack. Check the actual dependency manifest and lockfile for versions and hosting requirements. These notes use recorded metadata, not a code audit or a deployment test.
