Template Details
Lvntr Starter Kit is a Laravel starter kit for admin panels, using Vue 3, Inertia.js, PrimeVue and Tailwind CSS on the front end. It provides login and registration, password reset, email verification, two-factor authentication (Fortify) and an OAuth2 API based on Laravel Passport. Admin modules cover a dashboard, user CRUD (including avatar upload and soft deletes), role and resource-level permissions (Spatie), session management, activity log, settings panel (general/authentication/mail/storage/file manager/content languages), multilingual content, file manager (pluggable contexts and signed share links), API clients and personal access tokens, system health panel, API route browser and database enum definitions.
On the developer tooling side, the kit provides a DDD-style domain layer (Actions, DTOs, Queries, Events, Listeners), fluent APIs such as FormBuilder, DatatableBuilder and TabBuilder, and an @lvntr/components Vue component library resolved via Vite aliases (not published to npm, so no separate installation is required). It also includes the make:sk-domain domain scaffolder, table bulk actions with cross-page selection, a hash-tracking-based sk:update upgrade process, sk:doctor health checks, and a data encryption key management command independent of APP_KEY. Themes support instant switching between light and dark.
Usage requires starting from a clean Laravel project, requiring the package via Composer and running sk:install. The installer configures migrations, seed data, Passport keys and a default admin user, and builds the front end, while ejecting the User and Role domain runtime classes into app/Domain/ so the project can customize them. Environment requirements are PHP 8.4+, Laravel 13, Node.js 20.19+ or 22.12+, and MySQL or MariaDB. The repository README explicitly states that the project is in active development, that the directory structure and core classes may change significantly, that updates are not guaranteed to provide automatic migration paths and may cause data loss or breaking changes, and that stability is not yet guaranteed.
Is it right for your project?
Use Cases
- Laravel projects that need to quickly build an admin system with users and permissions
- Building data-intensive admin interfaces in Laravel with Inertia.js and Vue 3
- Projects needing operational support modules such as activity logs, a system health panel and an API route browser
- Teams planning to organize business code with a DDD-style domain layer and needing scaffolding and form/table builder tools
Suitable For
- Developers using Laravel 13 and PHP 8.4+ who need ready-made admin modules
- Teams that accept the project is in active development and can follow manual upgrades and change notes
- Projects needing common admin capabilities such as role permissions, 2FA, OAuth2 API and file management
- Front-end developers who prefer the Vue 3, Inertia.js, PrimeVue and Tailwind CSS stack
Getting started & customization
Use these recorded setup notes alongside the repository instructions for your chosen version.
- 1
Start from a clean Laravel project: composer create-project laravel/laravel my-app, then run composer require lvntr/laravel-starter-kit:^13.7 and php artisan sk:install
- 2
Environment requirements are PHP 8.4+, Laravel 13, Node.js 20.19+ (or 22.12+), with MySQL or MariaDB as the database
- 3
Check php -v before installation; the laravel/laravel skeleton itself only requires PHP 8.3, so a version mismatch will only surface in later steps
- 4
Use the :^13.7 constraint when requiring the package; a looser :^13.0 may be resolved by Composer to an older version and mask the real blocker
- 5
The installer ejects the User and Role domain runtime classes into app/Domain/; use --without-eject to keep them in vendor

How this score is calculated
Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

A demo link is listed. Check it with your own content and viewport sizes; its presence does not confirm that forms, authentication or payments work.
The catalog identifies Vue as the primary stack. Check the actual dependency manifest and lockfile for versions and hosting requirements. These notes use recorded metadata, not a code audit or a deployment test.

> ## ⚠️ WARNING
>
> This repository is under active development and is subject to frequent changes. The stability of the project is not yet guaranteed. Please consider the following points before use:
>
> 1. **Code Changes:** The directory structure or core classes may undergo radical changes without prior notice.
> 2. **Update Process:** Updates may not always provide an automated migration path. In addition to running update commands, you may need to perform manual interventions by checking the `README` or `CHANGELOG` files.
> 3. **Risk:** Significant changes may lead to data loss or breaking issues in your existing project.
## Introduction
Lvntr Starter Kit is a full-featured admin panel for Laravel, built with **Laravel 13**, **Inertia.js v3**, **Vue 3**, **PrimeVue 4** and **Tailwind CSS 4**.
Unlike the official Laravel starter kits, which ship a minimal authentication scaffold, this kit gives you a production-ready admin panel on day one: users, roles, permissions, activity logs, settings, file manager, 2FA, and a DDD-style domain layer you can extend.
It is designed for teams who want to skip re-building the same admin screens on every project and go straight to business features.

## How to use it?
Start from a clean Laravel install:
```bash
composer create-project laravel/laravel my-app
cd my-app
composer require lvntr/laravel-starter-kit:^13.7
php artisan sk:install
```
> **Check `php -v` first — this kit requires PHP 8.4+.** The `laravel/laravel`
> skeleton itself only requires PHP 8.3, so `create-project` succeeds on 8.3 and
> the failure surfaces later. Always require the kit with `:^13.7` (not a looser
> `:^13.0`): with a loose constraint Composer silently resolves down to an
> ancient release that still fits PHP 8.3 instead of reporting the real blocker.
That's it. The installer sets up migrations, seeders, Passport keys, a default admin user, and builds the frontend. It also ejects the `User` and `Role` domain runtime classes into `app/Domain/` so they are immediately project-owned and ready to customise. Pass `--without-eject` to keep them vendor-resident instead.
Full step-by-step guide: [starter-kit.lvntr.dev/docs/install](https://starter-kit.lvntr.dev/docs/install)
## Requirements
- PHP 8.4+ (hard floor — `spatie/laravel-activitylog:^5.0` requires it too)
- Laravel 13
- Node.js 20.19+ (or 22.12+) — Vite 7 engine floor
- MySQL or MariaDB
## Compatibility & Versioning
The package version major aligns with the supported Laravel major. Each
Laravel major gets its own maintenance branch and `vN.x.y` tag stream;
existing consumer constraints stay locked to their major and never
receive breaking changes from a newer Laravel target.
| Laravel | Constraint | Branch | Status |
|---------|-------------------------------------------------------|---------|-------------|
| 13.x | `composer require lvntr/laravel-starter-kit:^13.7` | `13.x` | active |
`main` tracks the currently active major (today: `13.x`). When a future
Laravel release is targeted, `main` will move to that next-major dev
stream and the previous major's `N.x` branch will continue to receive
backports.
The **git tag is the single source of version truth** — neither
`composer.json` nor the root `package.json` carries a `version` field, so
there is nothing to keep in sync. Releases are cut with `release.sh` (from
`main`), which tags the release and pushes only that tag.
## Documentation
Everything — installation, update flow, domain scaffolding, FormBuilder / DatatableBuilder / TabBuilder APIs, composables, file manager, roles & permissions, OAuth2 API, [AI-oriented API metadata](./docs/api-ai-metadata.md), activity logs, settings — lives on the official site:
