Template Details
Simplicity is a Jekyll theme positioned as a clean, lightweight look for blogs and personal sites. It uses Tailwind CSS for styling, and the features listed in the README include dark/light theme switching, post search, responsive layout, and configuration via _config.yml.
For content organization, the theme provides a homepage welcome section (with configurable title and subtitle), an about page (author name, avatar, social links, and multiple description paragraphs), paginated post lists, and per-post settings for categories, preview image, featured image, description, keywords, and whether to enable comments. The header can toggle search, Home, and About links, while the footer can toggle sitemap and RSS feed links.
The comment system supports either Giscus or Disqus. Using Giscus requires a public repository, Discussions enabled, and the Giscus app installed; if these conditions are not met, Disqus can be used instead by entering a shortname in the configuration.
For deployment, the README provides steps to publish to GitHub Pages via GitHub Actions, including creating a repository from the template, adding the x86_64-linux platform to Gemfile.lock, creating a workflow file, enabling read and write permissions for the repository, and enabling Pages from the gh-pages branch after the first run. The theme is released under the MIT license; the code may be used, modified, commercially used, and distributed for free, but third-party assets such as demo images, fonts, and icons require separate license verification.

How this score is calculated
Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

## Choosing Comments System
Giscus is an alternative comment system, it make uses of GitHub Discussions feature, and has not tracking or ads.
To use it instead of Discus, the page repository should fulfill these criterias:
- The repository is a public repository
- The discussion feature is enabled for the repository
- The Giscus app is installed on the repository
Follow installation guide on [Giscus page](https://giscus.app/) and enable the giscus config on the `_config.yml`.
If you can't fullfil the requirements above, you can opt-in to use [Disqus](https://disqus.com/). Just create an account and set your username on the `_config.yml`.
