Template Details

This is a Nuxt starter template for marketing-oriented static websites. It outputs pages via static site generation and is suited to showcase sites such as corporate promotion or product introduction pages. The repository includes several common site capabilities out of the box: responsive images, icon font generation, automatic sitemap generation, a cookie consent notice, a modal window with route changes, and a PHP contact form.

Configuration is centralized in files such as nuxt.config.js, config/infos.json, and menus.json. Contact information, the main menu, footer menu, and social menu are maintained through JSON. Image dimensions are adjusted in components/lib/ImageSet.vue. Icon fonts are generated by Fantasticon from SVGs under assets/icons. The favicon and manifest are generated via nuxt-rfg-icon. The contact form fields, email body, and recipient address are modified in static/mailer.php.

Before use, note the following: the template depends on Fancyapps UI, which the README states requires a separate license. The contact form is implemented in PHP, so the deployment environment must support PHP. The repository's ToDo notes that componentizing the cookie message is still in progress. Licenses for third-party assets such as demo images, fonts, and icons must be checked separately and cannot be determined solely from the code's MIT license.

Is it right for your project?

Use Cases

  • Building a static corporate promotion or product introduction website
  • As a starting scaffold for a Nuxt marketing site project
  • Showcase sites that need basic modules such as icon fonts, sitemap, and cookie notice
  • Static sites using a PHP environment to receive contact form submissions

Suitable For

  • Developers familiar with Nuxt who want to quickly start a marketing website
  • Teams that need static generation and can maintain configuration files themselves
  • Projects that can provide a PHP runtime environment to handle the contact form
  • Users who accept checking third-party asset and Fancyapps UI licenses themselves

Getting started & customization

Use these recorded setup notes alongside the repository instructions for your chosen version.

  1. 1

    After installing dependencies, use npm run dev for local development and npm run generate to generate the static site.

  2. 2

    Contact information and menus are maintained in config/infos.json and menus.json respectively.

  3. 3

    The contact form requires modifying the fields, email body, and recipient address in static/mailer.php, and the deployment environment must support PHP.

  4. 4

    Icon fonts are generated via npm run icons from SVGs under assets/icons.

  5. 5

    Fancyapps UI requires obtaining a separate license, and third-party assets such as demo images, fonts, and icons must also be checked under their respective licenses.

Usage conditions & limitations

Free to use · keep license notice

This entry covers the free version under the MIT license in the public repository; the free scope is the code of that version and does not mean external services or third-party assets are free.

Must comply with when using

  • The code of this version may be used, modified, used commercially, and distributed for free.
  • When distributing copies or substantial portions of the code, retain the original author's copyright notice and the full MIT license notice.
  • The code is provided as is; warranties and limitations of liability are governed by the original license and applicable law.

Additional costs & items to verify

  • The Fancyapps UI integrated into the template requires obtaining a separate commercial license; the free MIT license does not cover that component, and you must purchase or replace it yourself before commercial use.
  • The contact form is implemented by static/mailer.php, and the deployment environment must support PHP to receive form submissions normally.
  • The placeholder videos for demo purposes in the repository come from third-party HF Media; their asset license must be checked separately and is not granted along with the code's MIT license.
  • The placeholder images are provided by the author; their asset license must be confirmed separately and cannot be inferred as freely usable for commercial purposes solely from the code's MIT license.
  • Demo images, fonts, icons, and other third-party assets must be checked under their respective licenses and cannot be determined solely from the code's MIT license.
  • External services such as domains, hosting, databases, payments, or AI may incur additional charges.

How this score is calculated

Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

A demo link is listed. Check it with your own content and viewport sizes; its presence does not confirm that forms, authentication or payments work.

The catalog identifies Nuxt as the primary stack. Check the actual dependency manifest and lockfile for versions and hosting requirements. These notes use recorded metadata, not a code audit or a deployment test.

# build for production and launch server
$ npm run build
$ npm run start

# generate static project

For detailed explanation on how things work, check out [Nuxt.js docs](https://nuxtjs.org).

## Configuration

### General
- `nuxt.config.js`
- `config/infos.json` for contact information that will be used in different places site-wide
- `menus.json` to generate main menu, footer menu and social menu

### Image-Sizes
- Check `compontents/lib/ImageSet.vue` to adjust image-sizes for your custom `src-set`

### Webfonts
- Add preconnect URL for external Webfonts to `nuxt.config.js` in `head.link`
- Add Custom Families to `nuxt.config.js` in `webfontloader` (see: [nuxt-webfontloader](https://github.com/Developmint/nuxt-webfontloader))
- Optional: Use [local-webfont](https://github.com/swissspidy/local-webfont) to download webfonts css and add `display: swap` to css file (see: `css/_font.scss`)

### Favicon & Manifest
- Replace `static/favicon.svg`
- Change `config/faviconDescription.json` or generate new one for [nuxt-rfg-icon](https://github.com/pimlie/nuxt-rfg-icon#rfg)
- `favicon.ico` will be generated through `nuxt-rfg-icon`

### Sitemap
- Change settings in `nuxt.config.js`
- Use `sitemap.routes` to overwrite priorities or add more URLs

### Contact Form
- Change Message Body, Field names and email address in `static/mailer.php`

### [Fontasticon](https://github.com/tancredi/fantasticon)
- Generates Icon Font from `assets/icons/*.svg` to `static/fonts/icon-font.*`.
- Uses `config/fontasticon.js` to map decimal unicode characters for the font.
- Generates CSS Classes for different icons to `css/_icons.scss` from template placed in `helpers/icon-font-template.hbs`
- Generates list of Icons to `helpers/icons.json`. Used in `icons.vue` page to show all icons.
See `package.json` scripts key and `config/fontasticon.js` for options.

``` bash
npm run icons
```

### Cookie Message
- Every key in `cookieGroups` in `config/cookieMessage.json` will be a group of services in the message. See the example to create new groups.
- Use the store service to execute code when something is enabled.
- see `privacy.vue` for related privacy informations

## ToDo
- Cookie Message as extra component: [Work in progress. Help wanted!](https://github.com/mmoollllee/nuxt-privacy-message-example)
