Template Details

Ultrafolio is a personal portfolio website template by Mohamed Elhawary, with the repository under the MIT license. Its core characteristic is that portfolio data is not hardcoded into the page but retrieved through a JSON API, separating content from the presentation layer, making it suitable for portfolio scenarios that need to read project information from an external data source.

Technically, the project uses React as its framework, paired with the React Bootstrap component library, React Router and React Router Dom for routing, Styled Components for styling, Axios for data requests, and icons from Font Awesome and React Icons. The basic technologies listed in the README are HTML, CSS, and JS.

Usage is straightforward: after installing the Node.js environment, run npm install in the directory containing package.json to install dependencies, then run npm start to launch the development server, and visit localhost:3000 in a browser to view the page. The repository provides a Netlify online demo link and a demo video, along with desktop and mobile homepage screenshots.

Limitations to note: the template itself only handles front-end presentation and data requests; the JSON API must be prepared or connected separately. The licenses for third-party assets such as demo images, fonts, and icons must be checked individually and cannot be judged solely by the code's MIT license. External services such as hosting and domains may incur additional costs.

Is it right for your project?

Use Cases

  • Building a personal portfolio website to centrally showcase project experience
  • Scenarios that need to dynamically load portfolio content from an external JSON data source
  • As a learning reference for combining React routing, styling, and data requests
  • Deploying a front-end portfolio page on static hosting platforms such as Netlify

Suitable For

  • Developers with basic Node.js and npm knowledge who can run front-end projects themselves
  • Those who want portfolio content separated from page code for easier future updates
  • Developers who need a freely modifiable and commercially usable MIT-licensed front-end template
  • Learners who want to see how React Router, Styled Components, and Axios work together

How this score is calculated

Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

A demo link is listed. Check it with your own content and viewport sizes; its presence does not confirm that forms, authentication or payments work.

The catalog identifies React as the primary stack. Check the actual dependency manifest and lockfile for versions and hosting requirements. These notes use recorded metadata, not a code audit or a deployment test.
