Template Details

This is a front-end starter template for building events websites. The project consists of the Next.js framework, Supabase (used to store user data and manage user-related functionality), and the Web Actions API, which is used to retrieve user event details and constraints, intended for use with the ActionTray event execution planning service.

The template provides two main parts: the root path / displays all available events on the site; /actionapi/items and /actionapi/state output available event data and user event state data respectively according to the Web Actions API specification. During development, start the local server with npm run dev or yarn dev, and access http://localhost:3000 by default. The page entry point is pages/index.tsx, and API routes are located in the pages/api directory.

The repository uses the BSD-3-Clause license and may be used, modified, and distributed free of charge, but the copyright notice and disclaimer must be retained, and the rights holder's name may not be used to endorse derivative products. Third-party assets such as demo images, fonts, and icons must be checked separately for licensing; external services such as Supabase and hosting may incur costs. The template does not provide documentation for backend features such as event creation or registration; specific capabilities are subject to the repository code.

Usage conditions & limitations

Free to use · keep license notice

This entry covers the free version under the BSD-3-Clause license in a public repository; the free scope is the code of this version and does not mean that external services or third-party assets are free.

Must comply with when using

  • Free use, modification, commercial use, and distribution in source code or binary form are permitted.
  • Source code distribution must retain the copyright notice, the three conditions, and the disclaimer; binary distribution must reproduce these in the documentation or accompanying materials.
  • Without prior written permission, the name of the rights holder or contributors may not be used to endorse or promote derivative products.
  • The code is provided as is; warranties and limitations of liability are governed by the original license and applicable law.

Additional costs & items to verify

  • The Web Actions API endpoints are designed for use with the ActionTray event execution planning service and are an external service dependency; if this integration capability is needed, it depends on this external service.
  • User data storage and user-related functionality depend on the external Supabase service; before use, you must register and configure a Supabase project and credentials yourself, which may incur service fees.
  • Deployment is recommended on the Vercel platform, which is an external hosting service and may incur costs.
  • Demo images, fonts, icons, and other third-party assets must be checked under their respective licenses and cannot be judged solely by the code's BSD-3-Clause license.
  • External services such as domains, hosting, databases, payments, or AI may incur additional charges.

How this score is calculated

Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

A demo link is listed. Check it with your own content and viewport sizes; its presence does not confirm that forms, authentication or payments work.

The catalog identifies Next.js as the primary stack. Check the actual dependency manifest and lockfile for versions and hosting requirements. These notes use recorded metadata, not a code audit or a deployment test.

## Project description

Go to [nextjs-supabase-events-website.vercel.app](https://nextjs-supabase-events-website.vercel.app) to see example deployment:

- on [/](https://nextjs-supabase-events-website.vercel.app/) you can see all available events within the website,
- on [/actionapi/items](https://nextjs-supabase-events-website.vercel.app/actionapi/items) and [/actionapi/state](https://nextjs-supabase-events-website.vercel.app/actionapi/state) you can see all data about available events within the website and users events state accordingly, prepared according to the [Web Actions API](https://github.com/actiontray/web-actions-api).

## Getting Started

First, run the development server:

```bash
npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
```

Open [http://localhost:3000](http://localhost:3000) with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying `pages/index.tsx`. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

[API routes](https://nextjs.org/docs/api-routes/introduction) can be accessed on [http://localhost:3000/api/hello](http://localhost:3000/api/hello). This endpoint can be edited in `pages/api/hello.ts`.

The `pages/api` directory is mapped to `/api/*`. Files in this directory are treated as [API routes](https://nextjs.org/docs/api-routes/introduction) instead of React pages.
