Template Details

This template is a mirror repository of CoreUI's official free Angular admin template, intended for building data-oriented management interfaces. The project is built on Angular, with the UI layer using the @coreui/angular and @coreui/coreui component and style libraries; the demo is available at coreui.io/angular.

In terms of code structure, src/app is divided into containers (layout containers, including default-layout and the sidebar navigation configuration _nav.js), icons (icon sets), and views (application views); src also contains assets for static resources, components for demo components, scss for styles, and index.html as the entry point. The README states that the template was generated by Angular CLI and provides commands for the development server, code scaffolding, build, unit testing (Karma), and end-to-end testing.

Regarding licensing, the repository LICENSE is MIT, permitting free use, modification, commercial use, and distribution of this version of the code, provided the copyright notice and license notice are retained when distributing; however, third-party assets such as demo images, fonts, and icons must be checked against their respective licenses, and external services such as domains, hosting, and databases may incur separate charges. The README also states that CoreUI may not be redistributed as a finished template.

AngularAdmin backend

Is it right for your project?

Use Cases

  • Building an Angular admin backend that requires sidebar navigation and multi-view switching
  • Using it as a starting skeleton for data dashboard interfaces, replacing the sample pages in views
  • Introducing CoreUI components and SCSS styles into an Angular project for interface development

Suitable For

  • Teams developing admin management systems with Angular
  • Developers who need a free admin template under the MIT license that can be freely modified
  • Angular learners who want to study how CoreUI organizes layout containers and navigation configuration

Getting started & customization

Use these recorded setup notes alongside the repository instructions for your chosen version.

  1. 1

The development environment requires Node.js and npm, and Angular CLI must be installed globally with npm install -g @angular/cli

  2. 2

After cloning or downloading the repository, run npm install and npm update to install dependencies

  3. 3

Run npm start to launch the development server, accessible by default at http://localhost:4200

  4. 4

Run npm run build to build the production version, with output in the dist/ directory

  5. 5

Before use, check the licenses of third-party assets such as demo images, fonts, and icons, and note that CoreUI may not be redistributed as a finished template

How this score is calculated

Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

A demo link is listed. Check it with your own content and viewport sizes; its presence does not confirm that forms, authentication or payments work.

The catalog identifies Angular as the primary stack. Check the actual dependency manifest and lockfile for versions and hosting requirements. These notes use recorded metadata, not a code audit or a deployment test.

---

This project was generated with [Angular CLI](https://github.com/angular/angular-cli) version 15.0.0.

## Versioning

For transparency into our release cycle and in striving to maintain backward compatibility, CoreUI Free Admin Template is maintained under [the Semantic Versioning guidelines](http://semver.org/).

See [the Releases section of our project](https://github.com/coreui/coreui-free-angular-admin-template/releases) for changelogs for each release version.

## Development server

Run `ng serve` for a dev server. Navigate to `http://localhost:4200/`. The app will automatically reload if you change any of the source files.

## Code scaffolding

Run `ng generate component component-name` to generate a new component. You can also use `ng generate directive|pipe|service|class|guard|interface|enum|module`.

## Build

Run `ng build` to build the project. The build artifacts will be stored in the `dist/` directory.

## Running unit tests

Run `ng test` to execute the unit tests via [Karma](https://karma-runner.github.io).

## Running end-to-end tests

Run `ng e2e` to execute the end-to-end tests via a platform of your choice. To use this command, you need to first add a package that implements end-to-end testing capabilities.

## Further help

To get more help on the Angular CLI use `ng help` or go check out the [Angular CLI Overview and Command Reference](https://angular.io/cli) page.
