Template Details
gatsby-starter-cv is a Gatsby starter for quickly building a personal digital resume, built with React, fully responsive, and optimized for mobile devices. The template includes sections such as About, Skills, Job experiences, Github repositories, and Portifolio, where skills are represented on a scale from 0 to 100, and work experience and portfolio are presented as lists.
All personal data is centralized in a single configuration file, data/siteConfig.js, including site title, description, keywords, author information, avatar, skills, work experience, portfolio, social links, site URL, pathPrefix, Google Analytics ID, theme color, dark mode toggle, icons, and navigation links. The README explicitly notes that you need to replace googleAnalyticsId with your own ID and pay attention to the pathPrefix configuration.
The template provides scripts for npm run develop for local development, npm run build to generate a production build into the public directory, and npm run deploy to deploy to the gh-pages branch. Functionally, it also includes SEO, PWA, dark mode, and animations, but the specific implementation details of these capabilities are not elaborated in the materials. Before use, you need to verify the licenses of third-party assets such as demo images, fonts, and icons yourself, and note that external services may incur costs.
Is it right for your project?

Usage conditions & limitations
Free to use · keep license noticeThis entry covers the free version under the MIT license in the public repository; the free scope is the code of this version and does not mean that external services or third-party assets are free.
Must comply with when using
- Free use, modification, commercial use, and distribution of this version of the code are permitted.
- When distributing copies or substantial portions of the code, retain the original author's copyright notice and the full MIT license notice.
- The code is provided as is; warranties and limitations of liability are governed by the original license and applicable law.
Additional costs & items to verify
- Using Google Analytics requires registering a Google Analytics account and obtaining a dedicated tracking ID to replace googleAnalyticsId in the configuration; this external service is provided by Google, may be subject to its terms, and may incur costs.
- Before deploying to GitHub Pages, you must correctly set pathPrefix according to the repository path, otherwise static assets and page links may break; this is a deployment configuration requirement, not a usage license restriction.
- Demo images, fonts, icons, and other third-party assets must be checked against their respective licenses and cannot be judged solely by the code's MIT license.
- External services such as domains, hosting, databases, payments, or AI may incur additional charges.

How this score is calculated
Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.
What to verify for this project
- Repository update recorded
- 2023-12-02
- Screenshot last checked
- 2026-10-01
A demo link is listed. Check it with your own content and viewport sizes; its presence does not confirm that forms, authentication or payments work.
The catalog identifies Gatsby as the primary stack. Check the actual dependency manifest and lockfile for versions and hosting requirements. These notes use recorded metadata, not a code audit or a deployment test.

## 🚀 Quick start
1. **Create a Gatsby site.**
Use the Gatsby CLI to create a new site, specifying the default starter.
```sh
# create a new Gatsby site using the default starter
npx gatsby new my-default-starter https://github.com/santosfrancisco/gatsby-starter-cv
```
2. **Start developing.**
Navigate into your new site’s directory and start it up.
```sh
cd my-default-starter/
npm run develop
```
3. **Open the source code and start editing!**
Your site is now running at `http://localhost:8000`!
\_Note: You'll also see a second link: `http://localhost:8000/___graphql`. This is a tool you can use to experiment with querying your data. Learn more about using this tool in the [Gatsby tutorial](https://www.gatsbyjs.org/tutorial/part-five/#introducing-graphiql).\_
Open the `my-default-starter` directory in your code editor of choice and edit `src/pages/index.js`. Save your changes and the browser will update in real time!
4. **Generate production build**
That command will generate a production build on _public_ folder
```sh
npm run build
```
5. **Deploy to Github pages**
That command will deploy the production build to gh-pages branch of your repository
> ⚠️ don't forget to check `pathPrefix` in the configuration file.
```sh
npm run deploy
```
