Template Details

This template is a repository copy of the free CoreUI Angular admin dashboard template, generated with Angular CLI, with the UI layer depending on @coreui/angular and @coreui/coreui. The project structure is organized by function: src/app/containers holds layout containers, where _nav.js under default-layout defines the sidebar navigation configuration; src/app/views holds business views; src/app/icons provides icon sets; src/scss stores styles; and components in src/components are for demonstration only.

The README states that the development environment requires Node.js LTS and npm, with Angular CLI installed globally; dependencies are installed via npm install, npm start launches a development server with hot reload (default port 4200), and npm run build outputs the build artifacts to the dist/ directory. For testing, unit tests run via Karma, while end-to-end tests require adding the corresponding implementation package yourself.

Regarding licensing, the LICENSE file in the repository is the standard MIT text, permitting free use, modification, commercial use, and distribution of this version of the code, provided the copyright notice and license notice are retained upon distribution. The README also notes that CoreUI must not be redistributed as a finished template. Third-party assets such as demo images, fonts, and icons must be checked separately under their respective licenses, and external services like domains, hosting, and databases may incur separate charges.

Usage conditions & limitations

Free to use · keep license notice

This entry covers the free version under the MIT license in a public repository; the free scope applies to this version of the code and does not imply that external services or third-party assets are free.

Must comply with when using

  • Permits free use, modification, commercial use, and distribution of this version of the code.
  • When distributing copies or substantial portions of the code, retain the original author's copyright notice and the full MIT license notice.
  • The code is provided as is; warranties and limitations of liability are governed by the original license and applicable law.

Additional costs & items to verify

  • The README states the only restriction: CoreUI must not be redistributed as a finished template as is; if CoreUI is modified, it must likewise not be redistributed in that manner. This restriction goes beyond the MIT license itself and must be observed when using and redistributing.
  • CoreUI Pro is exclusive to paid enterprise members and requires purchasing an Enterprise Membership Plan to access its private repository; the free version does not include Pro features and resources.
  • Project maintenance relies on paid CoreUI PRO or sponsorship support; free use does not mandate payment, but Pro is an optional paid upgrade and is not included in the free offering.
  • Demo images, fonts, icons, and other third-party assets must be checked under their respective licenses and cannot be judged solely by the code's MIT license.
  • External services such as domains, hosting, databases, payments, or AI may incur additional charges.

How this score is calculated

Our heuristic uses license records (up to 30), a demo link (12), a preview (10), stars (15), recorded maintenance (15), description completeness (8), feature records (5) and classification data (5). It is not a code, security or performance test, or a Google score. A link does not establish tested functionality.

A demo link is listed. Check it with your own content and viewport sizes; its presence does not confirm that forms, authentication or payments work.

The catalog identifies Angular as the primary stack. Check the actual dependency manifest and lockfile for versions and hosting requirements. These notes use recorded metadata, not a code audit or a deployment test.

---

This project was generated with [Angular CLI](https://github.com/angular/angular-cli) version 17.0.0.

## Versioning

For transparency into our release cycle and in striving to maintain backward compatibility, CoreUI Free Admin Template is maintained under [the Semantic Versioning guidelines](http://semver.org/).

See [the Releases section of our project](https://github.com/coreui/coreui-free-angular-admin-template/releases) for changelogs for each release version.

## Development server

Run `ng serve` for a dev server. Navigate to `http://localhost:4200/`. The app will automatically reload if you change any of the source files.

## Code scaffolding

Run `ng generate component component-name` to generate a new component. You can also use `ng generate directive|pipe|service|class|guard|interface|enum|module`.

## Build

Run `ng build` to build the project. The build artifacts will be stored in the `dist/` directory.

## Running unit tests

Run `ng test` to execute the unit tests via [Karma](https://karma-runner.github.io).

## Running end-to-end tests

Run `ng e2e` to execute the end-to-end tests via a platform of your choice. To use this command, you need to first add a package that implements end-to-end testing capabilities.

## Further help

To get more help on the Angular CLI use `ng help` or go check out the [Angular CLI Overview and Command Reference](https://angular.io/cli) page.
